摘要
随着我国逐渐进入老龄化阶段，老年痴呆的发病率有增加趋势，严重威胁老年人身体健康和家庭和睦。近年来，利用中医中药治疗老年期痴呆已成为国内外研究的重点，并已列入国家中医药管理局九五攻关重点领域。自80年代有日本学者报道当归芍药散能治疗老年痴呆起，越来越多的临床工作者和科研人员投入到本方的研究当中，并取得的一定的成果。
