Objective:To provide anatomic basis for the application of medial dorsalis pedis fasciocutaneous neurovascular flapMethods:The observation and measurement of the medial dorsalis pedis cutaneous nerves,its nutrient vessels and blood supplies of its adjacent skin bellow a line between medial and lateral malleolus were made on 32 adult cadaver lower extremity specimensResults:The blood supply of the medial dorsalis pedis cutaneous nerves origins from the cutaneous arteries of the dorsalis pedis arteryThe cutaneous arteries emerged from interior edge of superior extensor retinaculm and from the space between the first and second metataesal bone are relatively consistent,and they are 08 mm and 06 mm in external diameter,08 cm and 05 cm in length respectively at each perforating siteA longitudinal or chainliked anastomosis of the interneural fascicle and paranerve was formed by the nutrient branches of medial dorsalis pedis cutaneous neural arteries,meanwhile a widespread network in the superficial fascia around the medial dorsalis pedis cutaneous nerve also formed by the cutaneous and neural nutrient branchesConclusions:The transfer of fasciocutaneous flap based on the medial dorsalis pedis cutaneous neural vessels could be designed and used to repair the adjacent soft tissue defects
