摘要
远程教育在改善民生中具有重要的责任和功能,从本质上说,远程教育是属于改善民生的教育。远程教育必须基于对民生的关注以及服务民生的改善,确立发展的宗旨和价值取向。
Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, China has adopted a humanistic approach to social development. Social development with focus on improving people's livelihood provides impetus and puts new demands for distance education. The author posits that distance education should be oriented to improving people's livelihood so that its social value matches its humanistic orientation. Put specifically, distance education should center on livelihood issues, with the improvement of livelihood as its aim as well as criteria for evaluating its social functions. It is argued that livelihood-oriented distance education will con- tribute to reshaping our perspective on the mission of distance education and may impact on its development mode.
