摘要
供应商管理用户库存(VMI)作为一种有效的补货机制,能对购买渠道的需求信息做出积极正确的反应。现在对VMI系统的研究往往集中于单个零售商和单个供应商组成的系统,不考虑VMI系统受市场上其他零售商或供应商的影响。一般来说,在独立的单个零售商和单个供应商间导入VMI系统后,零售商在短期和长期内都能获利,而供应商的利润变化则是不确定的,供应商往往在短期内会损失利润,在长期内则会获利。文章研究表明,当零售商所处的市场为垄断竞争市场,在零售商和其对应的供应商间导入VMI系统后,零售商在短期内能获利,在长期内利润不变;而供应商在短期内获利的可能性要大于长期获利的可能性,这与单个零售商和单个供应商时的情形有很大的不同。
Vendor managed inventory (VMI) as an efficient replenishment practice can enable the vendor to respond to demand in the retail chain. The recent studies on VMI system always focus on the supply chain composed of one retailer and one vendor. Generally speak- ing, after VMI system has been introduced into the independent single retailer and single supplier, the retailer can improve its profit in short-term and in long-term; but the change of supplier' s profit is uncertain, the supplier can debase its profit in short-term, but improve its profit in long-term. In this text, we consider that the retailer exists in monopolistic competition market, then VMI system will be introduced into the retailer and the supplier. We find that the retailer improves its profit in short-term, and its profit does not change in long-term ; however, the possibility of the supplier improving profit will be greater in short-term than in long-term. Clearly, this conslu- sion will be different from the chain composed of one retailer and one vendor.
