摘要
英语幽默的产生不仅由于语言因素,而且很大程度上依赖于特定的语境。从语篇分析和语用学的角度分析了英语幽默产生的机制,即语言因素(修辞和语言歧义)在上下文中产生的幽默效果,和情景语境及文化语境对幽默的产生所起的决定作用。由分析得知英语幽默的欣赏需要很好地掌握英语语言知识,其中修辞知识是非常必要的。此外,还要掌握西方社会的背景知识,尤其是文化知识。
The production of English humor is not only based on language factors, but also relies on particular contexts. This paper analyzes the production ysis and pragmatics. That is, language factors（includi an important role in the production of humor effect. A factors of English humor in light of discourse anal ng nd figures of speech and language divergence）have situational context and cultural context also have a decisive function in humor production. The appreciation of English humor needs a good mastery of Eng lish language, especially the knowledge of figures of speech. Meanwhile, it is necessary to grasp western social background knowledge, especially cultural knowledge.
