通过考察三版《STS指南》第一版:《科学技术与社会——一种跨学科视野》(1977);第二版:《科学技术论手册》(1995);第三版:《科学技术学指南》(2008),讨论STS学术研究、学术领域的发展,探析STS的学术"核场"。
This paper discusses the academic evolution of STS（ Science, Technology and Soclety; Science and Technology Studies） and the scholarship core-field of it focusing on the relationship between nature and society through a review of three versions of the Handbook of STS.
