Objective To investigate the satisfaction grade of patients and their dependents in the three ways (carrying bed, wheelchair, walking) of entering operating room. Methods 60 patients ( ASA Ⅰ - Ⅱ ) who were going to undergo gynaecological un - malignancy operation were randomly divided into carrying bed, wheelchair and walking groups (each group 20 patients) and were not interpolated urinary canal in sickroom, and no premedicant. The patients and their dependents gave a mark to the three ways with visual analogue scores (VAS) . Results The scores of the patients in wheelchair and walking groups were significantly higher than those in carrying bed group respectively (P 〈 0. 05, 0. 01 ), and the scores of the patients in walking group were significantly higher than these in wheelchair group (P 〈 0. 05) . The scores of the dependents in carrying bed and wheelchair groups were significantly higher than those in walking group respectively (P 〈0. 05, 0. 01 ), and the differenee was not significant between carrying bed group and wheelchair group. Conclusions Walking is the most satisfactory way to patient entering operating room, if the general body state of patient is good. But it must be accepted and supported by their dependents.
