In many circumstances, flaw and fracture emerges in metal materials under the action of stress and corrosion. This article analyzes the emerging mechanism of stress corrosion, introduces the reason, phenomenon and affective factor of stress corrosion emerged in low-carbon steel and austenic steel, presents four methods to prevent stress corrosion fracture from emergence.
