摘要
数据划分是数据库机并行I/O存取研究中的一个重要问题,对数据库机设计有较大影响。本文就关系数据库机多机多盘的并行处理环境,提出了一种面向并行存取的关系水平划分策略:多步多属性划分法(MMP法)。由于MMP法考虑了关系属性值域的语义联系,查询分布信息以及关系片段的均匀性等因素,因而可获得良好的实际分布效果。通过比较表明,MMP法明显优于其他一些同类方法,文中还对MMP法的分布效果作了性能分析。
Based on the parallel processing environment of multiprocessors and multi-disks of relational database machines, a parallel accessing oriented strategy of horizontal par-titioning of relations, Multi-steps and Multi-attributes Partitioning Method (MMP), is proposed. Because the factors such as the semantic relationship of the value domains of attributes in relations, the information of query distribution and the equality of the sizes of relational fragments are considered, MMP strategy can achieve good practical effect of distribution.
