摘要
介绍了计算机辅助设计与制造技术发展的新阶段——虚拟开发过程与产品数据管理。该技术被ＣＡＤ／ＣＡＭ行业认为是面向２１世纪的设计方法与环境。同时，描述了产品数据管理在并行工程中的运行模式和工作环境，并阐述了虚拟技术广阔的应用前景。
In the fields of computer aided design and computer aided manufacture, virtual development and data management techniques have been considered design method and environment facing the 21st century which are known as electronic product definition(EPD) and product data management(PDM) in the circles of manufacture industry and academia. In this paper the main aspects of EPD and PDM techniques were presented. Also the working mode and the working environment as well as the implementation of PDM in concurrent engineering are given. EPD and PDM technologies, which will play an important role in the application of future CIMS engineering, are increasingly attracting the attention of the world.
