摘要
认知语言学从一个全新的角度对隐喻做出了全新的解释,认为隐喻不仅是一种语言现象而且是人类重要的认知方式,它同文化紧密相关。通过对各种隐喻实例进行比较,得知英汉隐喻有着许多惊人的相似之处,是由于人类有着相似的生活环境和认知基础,英汉隐喻的差异又揭示出两种隐喻语言所反映出来的不同民族文化心理及对交际的影响。
Cognitive linguistics explains metaphors from a new perspective, believing that metaphor is not only a language phenomenon but also an important cognitive method of human beings, closely relatedto culture. The analysis of a variety of specific examples of rectaph ph orlc ors ences al language items is made to show similarities exist between English and Chinese meta- because of similar living environment and cognitive base. at the same time, the differ- manifest the different cultural psychology and the influence upon cross-cultural communication.
