摘要
利用偏光显微镜结合补偿器方法测定了气体辅助注射(GAIM)聚苯乙烯制品中双折射分量Δn和nθθ-nrr的径向分布。结果表明,Δn与nθθ-nrr在模壁附近均具有最大值并下降,当降低到一定值时Δn值朝向气道方向变化较小,而nθθ-nrr值在气道附近呈上升趋势。通过与常规注射成型(CIM)对比,初步探讨了GAIM特殊的流场和保压行为对制品双折射分布的影响。
Birefringence distribution in gas-assisted injection molding (GAIM) parts was measured by polarizing microscope with Berek compensator. It is found that birefringence △n and nθθ-nπ both show a maximum value at the outer wall of the parts and then decline near the outer wall. When the value drops to a certain point, △n becomes nearly constant down to the gas channel, but nθθ-nπ increases toward the gas channel, which is contributed to the thermal-induced birefringenee. Compared with the birefringenee distribution of conventional injection molding (CIM), the peculiar flow and packing behavior caused by gas penetration on birefringenee distribution of GAIM was elucidated.
