The effects of calcination temperature on the activity for partial oxidation of methane on ultrafine MoO 3·B 2O 3/SiO 2 catalysts were studied. The catalyst calcinated at 773 K had higher activity and selectivity. TEM results showed that the average particle diameter decreased with the increase of calcination temperature. The particle diameter of sample calcinated at 773 K was suitable. The distribution of its particle diameter was narrow. TPR results indicated that MoO 3 and SiO 2 had stronger interaction with the increase of calcination temperature.
