[Objective] To discuss the clinical significance of the blood sugar and the blood platelet change of the seriously injured patient. [Methods] According to the diagnosis standard from SIRS and MODS established by American College of Chest Physicians and Society of Critical Care Medicine in 1992, 300 patients which were received ICU were divided into three groups. Dynamic observed and studied platelet count and blood sugar change. [ Results] Comparing with Group C, the patients' blood platelet content obvious reduced in Group A, the blood sugar obviously elevated. The differences were significant (P〈 0.01 ). Compared Group B and Group C, Group A and Group B, there were significant differences (P〈 0.05), Compared survival and death group, the difference was significant (P〈 0.01) [Conclusion] The seriously injured patients' blood sugar and the blood platelet level can quite accurately and sensitively reflect the seriously injured sickness patient's condition and the prognosis.
