摘要
隐喻意味着用人们更熟悉的另一个观念的符号来表示某种观念。在社会发展过程中,人类使用语言为各种动物命名,描写动物各自的外形、属性和特征等,产生了无限的词语,并运用这些词语对自我或世界进行不断认知从而产生新的概念。语言学习中,进行词语及其意义的理解和运用可有效提高语言能力和语言运用能力。运用隐喻化词语的认知模式,以英汉动物隐喻词语为解读对象,可以揭示两语构成的动物隐喻词域的语用投射域范畴及其意义演变的情况。
Metaphor means the expression of a certain concept by using another more familiar conceptual sign. With the development of society, man applies languages to name the animals and describe their respective shape, attribute and characteristics. As a result, many words have been produced, and by using these words man recognizes himself and the world so as to generate more new concepts. In language study, the comprehension and application of the words may improve linguistic competence and the ability of using language effectively. This paper aims to show the cognition mode of metaphorical words, interpret the English and the Chinese animal metaphorical words and reveal their pragmatic projection domain and meaning evolution.
