资源型城市曾在一定时期内支撑了整个城市的发展,随着资源的枯竭,各种社会和经济问题大量暴露。如何加快产业结构调整,实现经济的可持续发展,是一个重要课题。以焦作市为例,指出焦作市在煤炭资源日益减少的背景下,按照城市发展的总体规划,立足实际,发挥优势,通过挖潜煤炭资源,进行煤炭资源的循环利用,大力发展铝电工业,做大做强旅游产业,推动了经济的成功转型,实现了煤炭资源型城市的可持续发展。
