摘要
本文将汉语新词语的翻译纳入实用翻译理论的框架内,用林克难、丁衡祁的"看译写"和"模仿-借用-创新"理论来研究汉语新词语的英译问题,对《新华新词语词典》及《辞书研究》新词新义专栏中部分新词的翻译提出商榷意见。
With the general English translation theories as a guideline, this paper offers new insight into translation of new words and expressions in Chinese by adopting the ＂Read-Write- Translate model＂ and ＂Adapt-Borrow-Create approach＂ advocated by LIN Kenan and DING Hengqi respectively. Improvement is made on English translation of some new words and expressions in Chinese based on the approaches discussed above.
