摘要
在影响翻译实践的诸多因素中,翻译目的对翻译结果影响甚大。同一原文,因不同的翻译目的而形成译本的多样化。文章选取《论语》的五个英译本进行对比研究,探讨译者的不同翻译目的如何影响翻译策略以及译者对译入语读者的关照程度,从而最终形成《论语》译本的多样性。
Among the many factors influencing the translation results, the translator＇s purpose is the most important and active one. It is the translators＇ purposes that contribute to the diversity of translation for the same source text. Aiming at the translation diversity of The Analects, this paper compares the five versions from the perspective of the translator＇ s purpose. It is argued that the translator＇ s purpose, the translation strategy, and the target readership design combine together to achieve the diversity of translation.
