摘要
有关汉语的“多／少”的对立和不对称性，有部分学者从语法功能上做了分析和研究。但为什么英语里可以用howmany／howmuch表示疑问，汉语里却不说“＊多多”，而是说“多少”？对这一问题学界目前还未有探讨。本文在综述有关标记理论和有／无标记的划分标准的研究的基础上，提出如上问题，并从标记理论视角对多／少的对立和不对称性展开讨论。
Some researchers have conducted studies concerning the opposition and asymmetry of 多/少 in Chinese. But why is it the case that it is OK to say how many / how much in English,but the equivalent of how many / how much in Chinese is 多少 rather than ＊多多？ No research concerning the issue above has been conducted yet. This paper gives a brief review of the studies concerning markedness theory and the criteria of distinguishing markedness from unmarkedness,on the basis of which the author raises the question above. The author attempts to discuss the opposition and asymmetry of 多/少 from the perspective of markedness theory.
