摘要
偏振控制器在高速光纤通信、相干光纤通信以及光纤传感等领域具有十分重要的作用,它是克服光传输系统中偏振相关损耗和监测仪器偏振特性的关键元件。本文在阐述偏振控制器工作原理的基础上,重点介绍了几种新的偏振控制器实现方案,并对各种偏振控制器的性能进行了分析比较。
Polarization controllers are very important in the high - speed optical fiber communication systems, coherent optical fiber communication systems and fiber optic sensor systems, which is an essential part to overcome the polarization correlation loss of fiberoptic transmission system and to monitor the polarization characteristics of the fiber communication instrument. This paper presents principles of polarization controllers, introduces with emphasis on several new kinds of polarization controllers proposed recently, and compares the performance of each kind of polarization controllers.
