In Harbin Boiler Works, a four columns 8000t oil press importep from Japan needs to be assembled on site of workshop. The top and battom cross beams are welded with semiautomatic CO_2 arc welding to finish the assembly jobs. The paper introduces the welder training, joint design, bevel preparation and welding procedure as well.
