摘要
档案馆具有两大基本功能:一是本体功能——存储、保管功能;二是社会功能——利用功能。随着社会的发展和现代信息、网络和虚拟技术在档案工作中的运用,档案馆的本体功能在内涵扩展的同时走外延拓展之路,实现保管主体的分层次化和多元化;同时保管客体(对象)开始由传统的"实存"形式向现在的"实存"与"虚拟"形式并存方向发展。档案馆本体功能的发展,也必然推进档案馆的社会功能的不断拓展和深化——由信息管理与服务向知识管理与服务拓展。
Archives possess two fundamental functions： storage and consultation. With the development of the society and IT application, network and visual technology have been widely used in the archives work, the connotation of the noumenal functions of archives have been enriches, and the developing orientation of the social functions of archives has simultaneously been extended to visualization.
