摘要
在全球化文化语境下,外国文学作为一个学科一次次面对以下诘问和质疑:什么是外国文学?我们以什么标准研究和评价外国文学?我们为谁研究外国文学?外国文学并不等于翻译的外国文学,外国文学也不是不同国别文学的简单相加。外国文学研究是一种整体性的、综合性的文学研究。外国文学研究不能是殖民文学或后殖民文学的一部分,而应该是中国的文学研究的一部分,这种文学研究应该包含世界性的意义和价值。在全球化时代我们应当警惕以西方的观念"化全球"。
In the contexts of cultural globalization, Foreign Literature, as a subject, has to confront the following queries and challenges： what Foreigh Literature is on earth; what the research and evaluation standards of Foreign Literature are; whom we study Foreign Literature for. Foreign Literature doesn＇t amount to translated literature. Foreign Literature is an integral and comprehensive literature study rather than the combination or mixture of state literature. Meanwhile, Foreign Literature is a part of Chinese literature study rather than a part of colonialism of post-colonialism literature, which undeniably embodies the connotation and value of cosmopolitism. In the age of globalization, we should keep our eye on ＂assimilating world＂ based upon occidental concepts.
