摘要
忠实向来是翻译的一项最重要的指导原则,然而在实际翻译过程中,译者往往会在不同程度上背离原文,不忠实于原文,乃至背叛原文。本文从语言的差异,文化差异和译者的因素等三个方面探讨了背叛背后的原因。最后提出,译者要以钱钟书的“化境”的目标要求自己,对忠实的追求不能放弃。
Faithfulness has always been one of the most imporatant guidelines in translation. In practice, however, the translated literature tends to be diverged from the original, even to the extent to betray it. This essay investigates the root of this divergence from the perspectives of the language, culture and the translator. In conclusion, translators, though confronted with many difficulties, should pursue the faithfulness that is the most possible rather than give up loyalty.
