摘要
大学校长对大学的发展有重大影响。比较我国与高教发达国家大学校长的群体特征,对于我国大学校长的选拔具有一定的参考价值。调查结果表明,中美大学校长在人口学变量、教育背景、学术背景和职业经历四个方面有明显的差异。在对差异的合理性分析的基础上,提出了选拔校长的改进建议。
The college president has great influence on the college development. The comparison of college presidents＇ demographic characteristics between China and countries with advanced higher education can provide the reference for president candidate nomination in China. This research shows that there are differences in the demographic variable, education background, academic background and career experience for college presidents between China and America. Based on the rational analysis of the differences mentioned above, some suggestions about college president selection in China are put forward.
