摘要 维生素E是一组化合物的总称,由生育酚和三烯生育酚两大类组成。所有自然形式的维生素E都有潜在的抗氧化作用,可以调节体内的氧化应激反应和控制自由基的生成。维生素E除了抗氧化作用,还可以通过其他途径参与多种生物反应,如维生素E及其自然衍生物对恶性肿瘤的发生发展及肿瘤的辅助治疗可能起着重要作用。 Vitamin E is a generic term that includes two groups of compounds termed tocopherols and tocotrienols. All natural forms of vitamin E are potent antioxidants that regulate peroxidation reactions and control free radical production in human body. However, many biological actions mediated by vitamin E isoforms may not depend on their antioxidant activity. The therapeutic applications of natural vitamin E and its derivatives as anticancer agents have became a research highlight. Recent research has strongly suggested that vitamin E can be used as an effective anticancer therapy, and also has a potential to reduce toxicity of other anticancer agents.
