摘要
英译中国古典名曲,向世界传播中国传统文化,具有重要的现实意义。本文就《高山流水》一曲,从现代翻译标准和翻译理论出发,探究和比较现存译本,提出将《高山流水》译为"Grand Mountains,Singing Waters",并附乐曲英文简介,以此将中国名曲《高山流水》以及俞伯牙、钟子期相交相知的千古佳话介绍给西方读者。
It is of great importance to translate the names of Chinese classical music （pieces） into English for the global spread of traditional Chinese culture. Based on modern translation standards and theories, this article investigates the existing English versions of ＂ GaoShanLiuShui＂ and translates it into ＂Grand Mountains, Singing Waters＂ . A brief English introduction is included to familiarize western readers with the Chinese ideal of friendship as illustrated by the ancient story of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi.
