摘要
本文对专用通信的局部区域网和公用通信的市内用户网两类区域网的近年发展和未来趋向作简要综述。首先介绍星形、总线、环形三种拓朴结构。继而解释:为了未耒发展,光纤的潜在容量足够使用,但光子器件对功率有限制,电子器件是码率的‘瓶颈’。光纤星形耦合器实现频分多址,可加大网的总容量。还介绍了调谐激光管-外差检测和调谐滤波器-直接检测两种方式。最后说明:数据传输网中用分组交换比电路交换有较高效率。为了配合同步光纤网,有必要利用异步转移方式作为辅助。
This paper outlines the developments of two kinds of Local Networks: the subscriber network for public communication and local area network for private communication It describes three kinds of network topologies: star,bus and ring. It explains, for the sake of ever-increasing capacity, optical fiber is the sole choice for transmission medium, although the optoelectronic devices set the limit of power and the electronics act as bottleneck for bit rate. The frequency devision multiple access using fiber star coupler has proven successful. both the tunable laser-heterodyne detection and the tunable filter-direct detection may be used. For data transmission, the packet switching would be more efficient than the circuit switching. In supplement to the synchronous optical fiber network,asynchronous transfer mode must be used for variable bit rate and burst data.
