摘要
全光纤通信是指激光器、传输线与探测器均由光纤制成并连接的光纤一体化通信。文中对组成全光纤通信系统的光纤激光器、光纤调制器及光纤探测器的原理及研究进展情况进行了评述,并由此论证了全光纤通信的可行性和优越性。
All-fiber optical communication is a system which optical
fiber-laser, fiber-amplifier, fiber-modulator, fiber-detector and transmis-
sion fiber line are merged in and connected into a single and integral
whole. In this paper, the principle and the development on the fiber-laser,
the fiber-amplifier, the fiber-modulator and the fiber-detector are discussed.
The advantage and the feasibility of this all-fiber optical communication
are described.
