摘要
本文对未来的全光通信网作概括介绍。先讲发展全光网的可能性和必然性,将以用户间全程光传输作为全光网的第一阶段目标。接着说明全光同所根据的光纤传输系统和光子器件与集成技术的进展。然后,简述全光网分三级的结构体系和试验网工作的意义,并简述全光网的三类业务应用和例子。
The paper offers a brief overview for the all-optical communication network in the future.At first,it explains the possibility and necessity of developing the all-opticalnetwork for broadband communication,which,as the firststage objective, will provide all-optical path between any two end-users terminals in the nation-wide network.Then,it describes the technological advances of optical fiber transmission and photonic devices and integration which are needed by the all-optical network. Finally, the paper discusses the three-level architecture of the all-optical network and the test-bed,also the three categories of applications and their examples to be served by the all-optical network.
