摘要
计算了CexY3-xAl5O12晶体中Ce3+由晶场导致的4f多重态之间的耦合对Ce3+离子基态磁矩和磁光Faraday旋转的影响及其温度特性.结果表明,Ce3+4f2F7/2和2F5/2多重态的耦合,使Ce3+的基态磁矩在温度300K和20K时分别减小30%和46%;使Faraday旋转绝对值减小,当入射光波长为480nm时,使Faraday旋转绝对值在温度300K和20K时分别减小33%和37%;
Abstract The influence of the mixing of multiplets of Ce 3+ ions in Ce x Y 3- x Al 5O 12 on the magnetic moment,the Faraday rotation and magneto optic coefficient of the ground state has been calculated.It is found that,the mixing of the 4f 1 2F 7/2 multiplet with the 2F 5/2 multiplet makes the magnetic moment decrease by 30% at 300K and 46% at 20K,the absolute value of the Faraday rotation at 480nm wavelength decrease by 33% at 300K and 37% at 20K and with temperature decrease,the magneto optic coefficient increases.
