摘要
河北省中南部地区现今发现的新石器时代遗址多分布太行山东麓的低山河谷地带及山前洪积冲积平原区,东部平原发现的则很少,这一分布特点的形成极可能是平原地区深厚的黄土淤积及考古踏查的局限性造成的,广袤的河北平原也应是新石器时代人类的主要活动地区之一。
Most of Neolithic sites of the middle and southern parts of Hebei Province are discovered in low hills and valleys along the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain and on the alluvial plains in front of it, and few sites are found in the eastern plains. This may be the result of the deep deposit of the eastern plains and limitations of archaeological investigations. Hebei Plain is wide enough to be a main region of activities for human beings of the Neolithic Age.
