摘要
商标是企业宣传和推销产品的有效途径之一。商标翻译对于商品在本土以外的销售情况起着举足轻重的作用。商标是语言文字和民族文化的统一体,在商标翻译过程中,既要灵活运用各种翻译方法使商标的译名在语言上做到好读、好听、好看,做到音、形、义的完美统一;又要在文化传递过程中符合民族心理,并达到一定的审美效果。只有字意俱佳,文化内容文明优美,商标翻译才能到达“雅”境。
A brand is an effective way for advertising and promoting products by enterprises. Brand translation has a great influence on selling products abroad. By using different kinds of translation skills, a brand name, as a combination of both language and culture, should be attractive in reading, listening and understanding when translated. With an excellent combination of sound, word, connotation and appropriate transmission of cultural messages, brands could be translated elegantly.
