摘要
弥尔顿的写作意图是“维护永恒的天旨,向世人昭示天理的公道”,作为革命诗人,弥尔顿要用他的诗唤起人民反抗君主专制的斗志。文章从语言表达、文学主题、文体风格等几方面分析了《失乐园》的文学特征。
Milton＇s purpose for writing the epic poem is to ＂assert eternal Providence and justify the ways of God to men. ＂As a revolutionary poet, he wants to invoke English people＇s rebellious spirit against autocratic monarchy. This paper gives a thorough analysis on literary features of Milton＇s Paradise Lost from the aspects of linguistic expression, literary theme, stylistic features, etc.
