摘要
美国著名学者Venutti在讨论归化异化问题时极力主张异化策略,然而他的策略是以采用不流畅、不透明的言语风格,刻意保留语言的文化色彩为前提的,这种翻译势必会破坏目的语的语法规范和文化规范。因此,我们有必要探讨在这种策略指导下的翻译在实践中的可行性。
Venuti discusses two strategies, domesticating＇ and foreignizing＇, favouring the latter in a policy of resistance＇ to the dominant and ethnocentrically violent＇ values of publishers and literary reviewers. The translation on the basis of the non- fluent or estranging translation style, however, is destined to destroy the grammatical and cultural norms of target language. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the feasibility of Venuti＇s strategy in the practice of translation .
