摘要
教会大学在中国的发展演变不是按西方传教士原来的意愿(传教)发展,而是沿着一条既定的线路发展的。为适应中国特定的历史环境,教会大学经历了中国化的复杂过程。在初步探讨教会大学中国化历程内外部原因的基础上,分析了教会大学中国化在中国高等教育教育近代化过程中的历史意义,旨在正确认识教会大学在中国的发展。
The development of Christian Universities is not accorded to the original will of the western missionary, but developed along with a set line. To adapt the particular circumstance of China, the Church universities have been experienced the complicated course of sinicization. On the basis of preliminary discussing the internal and external reasons during the course of the sinicization of Church universities, the article analyzes the historical meaning of the sinicization of Christian universities in the course of modernization of China＇s higher education. It＇s aim at helping us to correctly understand the Christian universities development in China.
