摘要
三维几何模型的选择性细化,是在几何网格LOD技术基础上,依据某种标准(如视点的位置、角度)对网格进行局域精简或细化,以尽可能少的顶点数来再现原模型的细节。其核心是顶点拓扑信息记录、检索方式。真实选择细化技术的优点在于将精简和细化操作局限在顶点及其领域上,不会产生可能失控的连锁反应。就此方法应用于采用半边缩减的渐进网格上,提出了具体的拓扑压缩数据结构方案,并对该结构的实现条件提出建议。该方案结构紧凑,适用于大型三维几何模型通过互联网进行传输并适于在个人电脑上进行动态显示。
Based on the LOD technique and some criteria (such as the position of the view), the selective refinement of 3-D geometric mesh model refine the mesh locally to dynamic display the detail of original mesh with the least vertices. The essential art is the way to record and index the topological information of the vertices. Truly selective refinement operates the vertices locally within their 1-ring neighborhood, with no chain reaction occur. The truly selective refinement is applied to the half-edge collapse mesh, some degeneration conditions are analyzed, a data structure is proposed to compress the topological information. Make it a compact representation of topological compress of triangle geometric multi-resolution mesh. Be applicable in remote transmission and decrease the over-cost of the dynamic demonstration of big 3-D geometric models on PC.
