摘要
归化与异化是两种截然不同的翻译态度,它们是矛盾的两个方面,但它们之间是辨证统一的。异化与归化都有各自的优势,也各有各的缺陷。在翻译中,归化是最常用的手段,而异化的翻译也在保持对原文的忠实、促进文化交流和吸收外来词语方面起了积极的作用。
Domestication and foreignization are two different translation attitudes. They are contrary, but also exists the relationship of antinomy and identity. Both domestication and foreignization has its dominance and its limitation. In translation, domestication is in common use, and foreignizing translation also plays an important role in keeping faithful to the originals and promoting culture communication. This paper focuses on the relation between domestication and foreignization and tries to illustrate that there exists the relationship of antinomy and identity between the domestication and foreignization in English and Chinese translation.
