摘要
动物词语中蕴涵着丰富的社会文化内涵，是词汇系统中一类重要的文化词。对汉语和英语中动物词汇的语义进行分析比较，发现它们之间存在着词汇对应、语义对应；词汇对应，语义不对应以及词汇不对应，但语义对应三大特点。从文化关照的角度探究这一语义现象，既可以了解汉英两个民族的文化渊源、社会习俗、宗教信仰、价值观念，又可以更好地促进两种语言的学习和运用。
As an important kind of culture words, animal words are rich in social and cultural connotations. Through a semantic study of animal words in English and Chinese, the paper discusses three points, covering lexical equivalent with semantic equivalent, lexical equivalent without semantic equivalent and semantic equivalent without lexical equivalent. A semantic study of these words from the perspective of cuhurology can help us have a better understanding of Chinese and English cultures, customs, religions and values as well as the learning and application of the two languages.
