The concept of virtual manufacturing, its application to virtual workpiece design, die design, die assembly and its future development are introduced. By using the technology of virtual manufacturing, the developing cycle and cost can be decreased,the productivity and product quality can be improved. So it is an important method to aid die design and manufacture.
