The Application of Formative Assessment in Comprehensive English Teaching

摘要 英语专业的“综合英语”教学主要采用终结性评价。长期实践表明,此评价方式存在很多弊端,笔者希望通过采用具体的形成性评价方式,发展学生的自我评价与学生间相互评价的能力,以促进学生的自我反思与自我管理能力。从而提高学生自主学习意识与自主学习能力,并为他们养成终身学习的意识与习惯打下基础。 Summative assessment has long been adopted in"Comprehensive Enghsh"for English majors,which hasbeen proved to be a failure in practice.The author intends to apply formative assessment in this course so as todevelop students'self-evaluation and peer-evaluation abilities,hopefully to raise their consciousness and ability oflearning autonomy in language learning and lay a foundation for their life-long learning awareness and habit.
