摘要
中西方在语言应用方面的文化差异对英语学习者的英语写作具有很大的影响。语言是文化的重要载体,是文化的具体表现。中西文化差异是影响英语写作能力提高的潜在因素。影响英语写作的主要文化因素包括“词语附加意义的差异因素”“思维特征与语言组织方式的差异因素”“话语模式的差异因素”等几方面。在英语写作教学过程中,增加西方文化知识教学内容,将文化教学融入语言教学,提高学生文化意识,增加写作实践,从而有效地提高其英语写作能力。
Language is the important conveyor of culture. Cultural differences between China and the Western countries are the potential factors that influence the improvement of university students＇ English writing. These factors are differences of connotative meaning, differences of thinking pattern and language organization, and differences of discourse pattern. To improve students＇ writing competence, stress should be on Western culture teaching, cultural awareness cultivation, and writing practice in the teaching process of English writing.
