摘要
无论英语还是汉语中表示颜色的词十分丰富,应用甚广,但由于在不同的文化背景下,颜色词在使用时也呈现出相应的文化差异性。从造成这种差异的原因分析起,并以常见的几种英汉颜色词在互译时的差异为例,来说明我们在英汉互译时应考虑文化对语言的影响。防止因“类推”而造成的误解,这对翻译工作十分有益。
English and Chinese are rich with colour words, which are widely used. Under different culture background, these colour words reflect different meaning when they are used in daily life. In this paper, the reasons causing different usage are analysed , which are illustrated through examples knowing this, we can work better at the translation of colour words.
