摘要
应用型大学具有历史较短、面向大众、服务地方、应用为本和实践教学等特点,但由于部分新建院校在办学条件、办学经费、生源质量等方面存在一些不足,要在高等教育竞争中取得优势,必须通过科学定位、强化特色和错位经营的策略来提升核心竞争力。
An applied university usually has its characteristics of having a short history, being oriented to the public, providing local services, and emphasizing applied and practical education. With its limitations in facilities, funds, and the quality of students, an applied university has to manage to build up its core competence among higher education institutes through its scientific orientation, its distinctive characteristics, and deft management.
