Land desertification is a manifestation of drying-up of lakes;ground-watertable subsidence and water quality deterioration ;vegetation degradation;soil salinization-alkalizationl and wind-driven land erosion and sandification. Proposalson land desertification control are put forward to cope with water-shortage problems within a shortest possible period of time and to strengthen consolidation andconstruction of the oases.
