摘要
报道了以掺Yb3+光纤作为增益介质的环形腔光纤激光器产生超短脉冲的实验研究。在掺Yb3+光纤环形腔激光器中,通过调节偏振控制器(PC)的状态和减少腔内损耗,利用非线性偏振旋转效应实现被动锁模,通过改变泵浦功率分别获得了调Q锁模和锁模2种稳定运转状态。其中,调Q锁模的中心波长为1 051 nm,激光光谱宽度为11.5 nm;锁模输出的中心波长为1 051 nm,激光光谱宽度为13.8nm,重复频率为19 MHz。给出了实验结果并作了简要的分析。
The experimental study of an Yb^3+-doped fiber ring laser producing ultrashort pulses is reported. The Yb^3+-doped fiber ring laser is found to oscillate in a mode-locked state by adjusting the polarization controller (PC) and reducing the loss in the cavity. By changing the pump power, the laser operates in either a Q-switched and mode-locked state or a mode-locked state. The central wavelength of the Q-switched and mode-locked state is 1 051 nm,and the spectral width is 11.5 nm. The central wavelength of the modelocked state is 1 051 nm,the spectral width is 13.8 nm,and the repetition rate is 19 MHz. The paper also presents some preliminary analyses on the experimental results.
