摘要
以马泰休斯的句子功能前景理论和韩礼德的功能语法理论为基础,系统分析了英语新闻标题的主位结构,提出了单项主位标题、复项主位标题和句项主位标题的概念.并对此进行了深层次剖析,旨在从系统功能语法的角度,揭示标题内在的基本规律和本质特征.这样,在阅读英语报刊时,通过正确地理解英语新闻标题的词汇、语法及修辞等特点,并对标题的寓意作出判断,使读者既能学会看新闻标题,还能善于欣赏并透过新闻标题了解全文的内容.
Through the theory of ＂Functional Sentence Perspective＂by V. Mathesius and the theory of ＂Functional Grammar＂by M. A. K. Halliday,the theme-rheme structure of English news titles were sys temically and deep-seatedly analyzed on simple,multiple and clause theme-rheme. The fundamental principle and qualified characteristic were carried out through the System Functional Grammar. How to understand the characters of vocabulary, grammar and rhetoric correctly, and judge the internal moral of titles was studied. Then the English news title as well as its contents could be red and enjoyed while reading newspaper and magazines.
