摘要
科技竞争力是指科技在竞争中的实力，也是科技推动社会、经济发展的能力。区域科技统计指标体系的建立，使得区域科技投入能够在区域层次上进行比较，反映区域之间的差距，为各区域加大科技投入力度提供依据。区域科技竞争力要素由区域科技竞争力的指标表达，区域科技竞争力要素的状态由指标的大小强弱来表达。
Competitive power in science and technology refers to the strength of science and technology in competition, and reflects the capability of science and technology in pushing social and economic development. The establishment of regional statistical evaluation system makes possible the comparison of regional scientific and technological investment on regional level, which may reveal regional gap, thus providing evidence for every region to enhance investment in science and technology. The elements of regional competitive power in science and technology may find expression in some indexes, and their condition in the description of these indexes.
