The paper presents the important significance of building an unified coal prices’ index in China in the light of the absence of obvious reference standards of China’s coal prices, introduces China’s power coal prices index, China United Metallurgical Coal Prices Index, China Coal Market Network’s coal prices index, as well as the performance of coal market prediction index from China Coal Market Network.
