摘要
从语言交际功能来看,人们运用语言进行交际的过程,实际上就是组织信息与传递信息的过程。不同的语态承载着不同的信息结构,也体现出不同的语篇意义。本文从信息结构的角度,对科技英语中被动语态被广泛使用的现象进行了探讨,指出语态的选择不仅仅是语法形式和语义结构的选择,更是语篇策略的运用。
To the communicative function of language, the process of communication with language is actually a procedure of information organization and transmission. The passive voice and active voice carry different information structure and consequently represent different text meanings. From the perspective of information structure, this paper studies the wide use of passive voice in the field of EST, and holds the view that the choice of voice is not a simple problem of grammar pattern or meaning structure, but an exploration of the strategy of the text producer and the meaning of the text.
